S u s t a i n a b i l i t y
Siluvio was born in a newly created winery built at the foot of the vineyard, seeking to unite the ancestral tradition of winemaking in the area with more modern systems of transformation.

Mildiu
It affects grapes, causing staining and decay in conditions of high humidity and cool temperatures.
Oidio
It coats the grapes with a white powder, weakening the plant in hot, dry climates.
Botritis
It causes rotting of the grape clusters, favored by humidity, but can also be useful in the production of sweet wines.
How we defend ourselves from this situation
T h e w e a t h e r s t a t i o n :
In 2017 we installed a weather station to obtain data and information to interpret the climate of the site. More than 30 meteorological parameters are studied every 20 minutes in our farm (soil moisture, leaf moisture, water content at different strata, wind, temperature …) this information is interpreted by algorithms that translate into information for the proper development of our plants. With this we want to be ecological, sustainable and integrated in the environmental system of our surroundings and pollute less our plants.
We only do organic treatments and do not use herbicides on our soils. Interpreting our seasonal information, we treat only when necessary and do not overload our vines with treatments.
Philosophy
- No herbicides on our soils
- Vegetation covers in our streets maintained in a natural way with fortnightly weeding.
- Organic fungal treatments only when necessary.
- Sustainability to respect and be integrated into the local ecosystem.
